Auli is a perfect place to visit, especially in winter when it transforms into one of the best ski resorts in INDIA. There is a lot to do in Auli along with a 180-degree view of the Himalayas. In the month of January, Auli transforms into a beautiful White Winter Wonderland, which is an ideal skiing destination.

Auli Artificial Lake or Chenab Lake


Artificial Lake of Auli is one of the world's highest man-made lakes. Auli Artificial Lake is located at an altitude of 2800 meters above sea level. The lake was developed by the government to provide artificial snow on the slopes of ski snow during the month of low snowfall. This helps to extend the Ski season by providing a suitable Ski surface. The lake is surrounded by a beautiful view of Hills.

Joshimath

Joshimath is a small village situated near Auli which attracts tourists with their old charms, scenic views, and positive vibes. Joshimath also is known as Jyotirmath. To reach Auli you have to go through Joshimath. 
 

Chattrakund Lake 

Chattarkund Lake is located at a distance of 4KM from Auli and 3,300 meters above sea level. It has a magnificent collection of trees including oak, Deodar, and Pine. This is the perfect spot to spend quality time with family, friends, and loved ones.

Tourists usually trek to this place in the morning and arrive before sunset. The sunset here is very attractive.


Trishul Peak


Three Himalayan mountain Peaks of western Kumaun are in the form of Trishul Peak. Trishul Peak is 7120 meters high which makes it a very difficult trek. 

Trishul Peak is one of the best Tourist spots in Auli due to its 270-degree view of snow-capped hills. 

Vishnuprayag

Vishnuprayag is a place where one of the two tributaries of Alaknanda and Dahliganga can be seen merging together in the same river. you can also be mesmerized by the view of Kagbhusandi Lake, a magnificent water body filled with emerald green water.

Kalka Railway Station is nearest railway station to Shimla then take bus or cab from there and if you want, you can also come from Kalka to Shimla by Toy Train, Which is a very fun Experience.
